Description

Bird motels are humane live-traps used to catch and relocate pest birds. Reducing the population of pest birds, by relocation has been a proven tool in eradicating properties of pest birds. The traps are made of a sturdy galvanized wire, and built for outdoor or indoor use. Each trap has funnel doors in which a bird can walk in, but not out of. Atop each trap is an easy access door for removing or releasing the birds. There are two sizes to accommodate both large and small pest birds.

Applications

Ideal spots to use the Bird Motels:

•    rooftops
•    backyards
•    warehouses
•    Balconies
•    Other places where birds need to be relocated

Bird Motels should be used to relocate pest birds. Relocation is needed when a large bird population has formed in a specific area. For example, if you had a large number of birds (20+) roosting or nesting on a roof, in addition to installing deterrents, it may be necessary to trap and relocate some of the population.

Installation
Both bird motels come completely assembled. You will want to pick a spot near the area where birds are posing a problem. Before you set the trap out, try leaving feed / seed in your chosen spot for a few days so that the birds start associating that space with food. After a few days, introduce the trap with the feed inside. Be sure to leave a water source in the trap as well. You will want to check the trap every other day. There is a door on top of the trap that allows for easy removal.
